Together again for one last outing, Section 20 seek vengeance for their fallen teammate and find themselves on perhaps their most dangerous mission yet. But, with the cunning and untrustworthy Arianna at their side, will any of them make it out alive? John Richards serves as editor on the hit show one final time (on the last episode of the series no less), capping off an 8-series-long adventure in one fittingly epic finale.

With time running out and Section 20 still hot on Pavel’s (Alec Newman) trail, the team head to Pakistan in search of the second nuclear device. However, rogue Russian operatives Natasha Petrenko (Marama Corlett) and Artem Orlov (Alex Waldmann) put a cinch in their plans as they attempt to hijack a satellite. Luckily, Section 20 are reunited with an old friend along the way. This penultimate episode of Strike Back’s seventh season saw John Richard’s return as editor.

Following a crash landing, Novin (Alin Sumarwata) and Zarkova (Yasemin Allen) fall into the hands of a corrupt justice system, while Wyatt (Daniel MacPherson) is forced to reveal his darkest secrets to Mac (Warren Brown). Prison life quickly proves too dangerous for Novin and Zarkova however and a daring escape leads to a bloody confrontation for Section 20. John Richards was reunited with the crew behind Strike Back as he once again took on the role of editor for the high-octane series.

After the blast, Kamali (Zubin Varla) manages to escape and Section 20 attempts to find him through his safety deposit box. Dalton (Rhona Mitra) continues her plans of vengeance on those who gave her up in Beirut. Scott (Sullivan Stapleton) and Stonebridge (Philip Winchester) make some startling discoveries and are captured by Gomez (Raoul Trujillo). Dalton’s exploits escalate and she requires rescuing by Colonel Phillip Locke (Robson Green), a legend in the SAS. John Richards once again took the reins as editor on this episode.

An initial rescue attempt of Clare (Laura Haddock) ends with Scott (Sullivan Stapleton) hospitalised and Stonebridge (Philip Winchester) in pursuit with Crawford (Iain Glen). Clare is taken to a Janjaweed camp by Tahir (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) and a distraction allows Stonebridge to rescue Clare. Soldiers search for Scott, meanwhile Grant (Amanda Mealing) puts pressure on Maggie (Rachel Shelley) and Crawford divulges vital information about the British spy. John Richards returned to the series as both second unit director and editor for this episode.
